PEGGY SENDS HER: "THANKS".
Peggy Elias (the widow of PBA Founder, Eddie Elias) was recently a Guest on Phantom Radio and she sent a nice note to The Foundation that we wanted to share with you.
(She wrote): "Thank you so much for having me on your Show. It was a real thrill for me, and the topics that we talked about brought back so many fond memories. I have been a huge bowling fan for so many years and was honored (and flattered) that you invited me. I listen to your Show faithfully and enjoy hearing from all of your Guests."
"And Phantom, you were right when you said, that: "It's the fastest show in all of sports." I can't believe how quickly the time went. There was so much more that I would have loved to talk about. But, as you said, maybe we can do it again someday - I certainly hope so."
"Eddie would have been so proud of you with what you are doing to help the Sport prosper."
"Thank you again, I really did enjoy the experience!"
Sincerely,
Peggy Elias
(The Phantom answered: "Peggy, it was quite an honor and privelege to have you on the Show. And yes, I am eagerly looking forward to your next appearance. THANK YOU!")
PLEASE NOTE: In another column on our website there is a featured story about Eddie Elias, who was the Founder of the Professional Bowlers Association. To honor his legacy, the University of Akron has attached his name to their Bowling Center which is part of a $40,000,000 project to upgrade the Student Union.
As a bowling fan, YOU can be part of this Monument to the man that won countless awards for his contributions to bowling. Donations can be made to the University of Akron and YOUR NAME can be a permanent part of it. Any and all donations can be made directly to the University.
YOUR GIFT will enable the University to provide a variety of ongoing necessities for faculty, staff and students. Those items range from scholarship support for students to seed money for equipment in the Bowling Center.
