mY BOWLING CENTER TELLSS ME THAT THEY LAY OUT THE SAME SHOT WINTER AND SUMMER. SAME OIL PATTERN AND MACHINE . YET AS THE WEATHER HEATS UP THE BALL GOES DOWN LONGER. CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY THIS HAPPENS?

Hello Newbie,

Temperature and humidity are two variables that WILL alter oil and lane conditions.

Usually when it is warmer, the oil will get thinned out and have a tendency to carry-down.  Of course, that will also depend on what type of oil it is.

Just the opposite holds true in the winter.  When it is colder, the oil has a tendency to "hold-up" and stay put longer.
